December 12th sees the release of the s 4th single from their No1 album "Wonderland". A double A side, "The Ballad of Paul K" is, according to frontman Tom Fletcher "inspired, musically, by Supertramps "Give A Little Bit", and its about our dads. Dads in general, really - but that specific point when they go through a mid-life crisis"

The flipside, "Ultraviolet" is a stonking big pop tune - packing a chorus bigger than Planet Earth. "This was originally called "Summer Girls" and was written a long time ago" says Tom. "Its about how girls can change your world around and how they can really screw with your head. I think this is my favourite song - structurally, musically and lyrically - on the album". Says Danny Jones "Theres a sitar at the beginning and the end of this song. Tom stole the sitar off some bloke on the street".
McFLY rhave also eleased "The Wonderland Tour 2005 - Live in Manchester" DVD through Island Records on 28th November 2005.
The live show was filmed at Manchesters MEN Arena (capacity 10,000) last month during the bands first arena tour of the UK and is featured in its entirety on the DVD. For the first time all four of the bands No1 hits are captured on one format, including their four No1 hits to date - Five Colours in Her Hair, Obviously, All About You and Ill Be OK.
Like all musicians are most at home on stage - but you wont have seen a show quite like this before. The DVD brilliantly captures the excitement and sweaty energy - not to mention the giant inflatable legs - of Mcflys 19 date Autumn arena sellout tour.
The DVD also includes a 20 minute exclusive documentary entitled "A Comedy of Errors". The short film follows the band during the tour which saw them performing to over 250,000 fans and gives a glimpse of life on the road with .
