This month saw the launch of an innovative new online trading community, enabling registered music lovers to swap CDs with other online users for the price of a postage stamp.
Introducing something fresh and exciting to the world of entertainment, www.swapmydiscs.com is launching with free registration for the first 250 traders, followed by a discounted rate of ?9.99 for the next couple of months.
Created from a desire to help maximise leisure time, swapmydiscs.com is the new, smart, cost effective way to build your music collection, allowing members to browse the ever expanding online database and swap CDs with other users, broadening their listening experiences.
With recent research * showing that the average working week in the UK is getting longer and longer, and that over half the working population now feel they have much less leisure time than they did five years ago, www.swapmydiscs.com comes at a time when were looking for new quick and easy ways to be entertained.
With the addition of new users, the database will be constantly refreshed and updated, so will be a diverse resource for uncovering old classics, trying out new genres, or for just adding a bit of variety to your listening habits.
Upon joining, users add at least three CDs to the database before trading can commence. The system then allows members to choose other titles from the database to listen to, for a minimum of 2 weeks, or until it is requested.
An extra service, popular with true music lovers, includes the opportunity to make a special request for a particular CD that is not already listed. Members who provide the requested title are rewarded with a gold star which, after collecting five, entitles them to a free month subscription.
Additionally if users find a particular treasured title the terms allow it to be kept, as long as it is replaced with an equivalent CD.
